nParallel developed a solution to virtually transport Bandag’s trade show equipment versus physically bringing each piece to the show, making their exhibits extremely interactive.

Bandag, a division of Bridgestone, approached nParallel, the company’s long-time trade show strategists, with a challenge that would help Bandag save time and logistics as well as significant shipping and transportation dollars from their budget.

Previously, Bandag would bring their commercial truck retreading equipment to a trade show to showcase the technology advancements to show attendees. This equipment would take multiple semis and teams to load, haul, unload and manage – which in turn cost Bandag significant time and investment.

nParallel developed a solution to virtually bring the equipment versus physically bringing each piece to the show. nParallel designed each element of the equipment in a virtual way so that when a guest used hand gestures with a large touch screen monitor, the equipment would be virtually in front of them projected on a wall so they could interact with the retreading equipment.

At the show, countless guests used the hand gesture technology to learn and interact with the equipment. The concept was so successful that Bandag used this solution to help sales teams show the equipment to their clients and potential clients.
